Mariner HS Scholarship Nomination Interest Form: Each year, the Mariner HS Career & College Readiness Center and school counselors may be asked to nominate seniors for a few scholarships. Seniors who are interested in potentially being nominated must complete the Scholarship Nomination Interest Form to be considered for these scholarships. 23-24 Scholarship & Award Nomination Interest Form

Please note: You must apply directly to all local scholarships listed on the Mariner CCRC webpage. The Scholarship Nomination Interest form is only for a few scholarships that are not listed.

Local Scholarships 2023-2024

  • Due by 9 pm on June 6, 2024
    WSOS Career and Technical Scholarship
    Seniors pursuing a 2-year degree at a community or technical college in a high-demand trade (i.e. welding, manufacturing, IT, etc.), STEM, or healthcare occupation.

     

    Opens December 1st, 2023, and is due by January 31, 2024.
    WA State Fair Foundation Scholarships
    Seniors can apply for numerous Washington State Fair Foundation scholarships.

     

    February 1, 2024
    WAEOP Past President Scholarship 2023
    Senior who plans to enroll full-time in an institution of higher learning.

    Kaiser Permanente Health Equity Scholarship
    Senior with a 2.5 GPA or higher, pursuing a clinical or non-clinical career in the healthcare industry.

    ACPE Scholarships
    Oregon and Washington students who are pursuing studies in a technology-related field are eligible for scholarships of up to $3,000 from the Association of Computer Professionals in Education (ACPE).

    Gertrude Jackson Memorial Scholarship 
    Seniors attending school in the Mukilteo or Everett School District who lack sufficient funds for their first year of college.

    GFWC Scholarship
    Senior female who will attend college in Washington State.

    WSOS Baccalaureate Scholarship
    Seniors with a 2.75 GPA or higher, pursuing a STEM or healthcare major, at an eligible WA state college or university.

    Aviation Scholarship Application
    Recognizing the cost of the flight training required for a pilot’s license, the scholarship program offers an additional $2,500 Continuing Aviation Education Grant to one scholarship recipient who intends to earn their FAA private pilot certificate within the following year.

    Seniors pursuing a vocational program at a Community College or Technical School.

    Young woman with an active commitment to volunteerism and experience in local government, student government, or workplace leadership.

    Japanese American Citizens League Scholarship
    Several scholarships are available to seniors of Japanese ancestry.

    Graduating Washington high school seniors are eligible. These high school career technical education (CTE) students must have completed, or be in the process of completing, their second course in a single CTE pathway.

    Senior who have participated in an ESL/ELL program at some point in their lives and have financial need.

    Senior who identifies as female, with a 3.0 GPA, and pursuing a degree in a STEAM field.

    Seniors of Black and African descent, pursuing a degree in computer science, engineering, or technology with a 3.0 GPA or higher.

    Senior who is planning a career in historical architecture, historic preservation, or a preservation trade (carpentry and masonry).

    Senior whose volunteer activities (min. 75 hours), and intended major, involve the health and/or welfare of children, and the student has financial need.

    South Everett Mukilteo Rotary Scholarships (SEMR)
    SEMR General Scholarships ($39,000 total – individual amounts vary from $1,000-$3,000):

    • Commitment to Academics (3.0 GPA or better)
    • Commitment to Service: Active involvement in extra-curricular activities at school and/or community.
    • Citizenship

     

    SEMR Sponsored Scholarships: In addition to being considered for the SEMR General Scholarships, applicants may also apply for 11 different Sponsored Scholarships, which have been created by partnerships between the South Everett Mukilteo Rotary and local individuals, businesses, and organizations with additional specific focus and criteria in addition the General Scholarship criteria. All applicants will be considered for a General Scholarship even if they apply for one or more of the sponsored scholarships, however, no student will receive more than one scholarship.

    Sea Mar Farmworker High School & College Scholarships
    Sea Mar recognizes and acknowledges the barriers children of farm-working families face in their pursuit of a college degree. Economic strains, as well as language and cultural barriers, can often affect these students.

    Sometimes students need to work after school and all summer to assist their family. Sea Mar is proud to provide annual scholarships to help make college a reality.

     

    Award amount: $1,000.

    Latino/an Educational Achievement Project Scholarship

    The Sea Mar Latino/Educational Achievement Project Scholarship provides financial support for students who demonstrate a history of advocacy, responsibility, accountability, perseverance, are go-getters, and have shown or have the strong potential to be contributors to their community.

    Joanne Brennan Memorial Scholarship Application
    The Michelle Reichenbach Memorial Scholarship- is available to a Mukilteo School District graduating senior with a family member employed by the Mukilteo School District (preference given to certificated district employees).

    The Lois Jamieson Memorial Scholarship -  preference is given to applicants intending to pursue a career as an educator.

    The Joanne Brennan Memorial Scholarship - strong consideration given to individuals stating an interest in working in education or related fields, especially those that involve disadvantaged children and youth

    Brad Agerup Memorial Scholarship
    Mariner Marauder Booster Club will award two $1,000 scholarships to qualified graduating seniors of Mariner High
    School. Students must have a GPA of 2.6 or higher, have a recommendation by a teacher or staff from Mariner, and complete an essay and application. Student must be attending a 2-year community or technical school, or 4-year college or university full time by fall 2024.

    Senior who is a female entering into a STEM field (science, technology, engineering, or math) and committed to attending Edmonds College in the Fall.

    Senior with demonstrated financial need who is planning to attend a private university.

    Mariner Senior pursuing a teaching profession, who is a minority and is planning to attend a WA state college or HIBC.

    MACP Scholarship
    M.A.C.P. will provide up to five (5) scholarships of $750 each as financial
    assistance to 2023-2024 seniors graduating from ACES, Kamiak, Mariner, Sno-Isle
    Tech Skill Center, and one dependent senior of an M.A.C.P. Member in Good Standing.

    Senior residing in the Edmonds or Mukilteo school district, with financial need.

    Overcoming Adversity Cariño Scholarship
    Any Latinx high school senior student from the state of Washington who has a history of overcoming adversity may apply. Preference for those who do not qualify for federal loans/grants/ DACA. Students pursuing a 2- or 4-year undergraduate degree or planning to attend a trade school may apply.
